Chair Talk

August 2006

I recently received a phone call from Lauri Schmidt (Employee Benefits) that a letter from Express Scripts was sent in error to over 15,000 retirees informing them that their current prescriptions could no longer be filled at their local participating pharmacy. This letter was supposed to be sent only to those active state employees in two specific bargaining units and not to retirees. In those two bargaining units employees are required to use home delivery service for maintenance medications. In a phone call to Lisa Stout (Express Scripts) I was informed that apology letters were already being sent to those retirees that mistakenly received those letters. Please inform your fellow retirees that may have received them that the letters were sent in error. Copies of both letters will be available at the SERA CC meeting of August 4, 2006.
